Welcome to our Reggaeton dance classes in Brisbane! Get ready to experience the rhythm and beats of one of the most popular urban Latin dances and take your dancing to new heights. Reggaeton is both a genre of music and a high energy Latin dance style that originated in Puerto Rico in the late 1990s and has since spread across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the world and is now the most common style found in clubs and the charts worldwide! With its origins rooted in Reggae, Latin Hip-Hop and Dancehall from Jamaica, Reggaeton is a fusion of these styles with a unique urban Latin flavour. Think Hip Hop in Spanish.
Reggaeton is known for its fast and energetic beat, smooth and sensual moves and electrifying rhythm. The dance style is all about letting loose, having fun and feeling the music in your body. Reggaeton dance moves are often characterised by body rolls, hip movements and fluid footwork.
