Welcome to our Reggaeton dance classes in Brisbane! Get ready to experience the rhythm and beats of one of the most popular urban Latin dances and take your dancing to new heights. Reggaeton is both a genre of music and a high energy Latin dance style that originated in Puerto Rico in the late 1990s and has since spread across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the world and is now the most common style found in clubs and the charts worldwide! With its origins rooted in reggae, Latin hip-hop and dancehall from Jamaica, Reggaeton is a fusion of these styles with a unique urban Latin flavour. Think Hip Hop in spanish.
In our Reggaeton classes, you’ll learn the basics of this exciting dance style, including the signature moves and grooves that make Reggaeton so popular. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, our classes are designed to cater to your needs and to help you improve your skills, step by step to make sure you are ready to hit the dance floor at any Latin party.
Throughout the class, children will be encouraged to express themselves creatively and build their confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Our classes are designed to engage children of all skill levels and ages, so whether your child is a beginner or an experienced dancer, they will be challenged and inspired to grow as a dancer.
In addition to learning the fundamentals of hip hop, children will also learn teamwork and collaboration as they work on group routines and performances. At the end of the class, parents and family members are invited to watch a showcase of the children’s progress and see them show off their newly acquired skills.
Our kids hip hop classes are a great way for children to stay active, develop their dance skills, and have fun with their peers. We look forward to welcoming your child to our class and helping them discover their love for hip hop dance!

Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practise and perfect your moves.
We dance to a variety of upbeat reggaeton, Latin and hip hop music – think Daddy Yankee, J Balvin that sort of thing! Our music selection is carefully curated to keep you motivated and inspired on the dance floor. If you would like a sample of the type of music we listen to, here is a link to some of our favourite Spotify playlists!
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, such as activewear or shorts and a t-shirt. Most people will wear something that makes them feel confident and comfortable so whatever that may look like for you is great.
You don’t need to buy dance shoes in order to dance Reggaeton! Authentic Reggaeton is danced in whatever you have on your feet at the time, but shoes with a low heel/platform and minimal grip are recommended. You don’t want a shoe that will prevent your spins with a grippy sole and potentially cause injuries to your knees and ankles long term.
